Why Sportsbooks Are Still Letting You Bet Trevor Lawrence to go No. 1 in the NFL Draft

Despite being the clear pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars as the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, sportsbooks haven’t taken Trevor Lawrence off the board yet.

They’re not exactly taking a ton of money either after most of them moved the former Clemson Tigers quarterback to -10000 odds.

“The number one overall pick is just something we feel like we should offer even if it feels like the lock of locks,” said PointsBet’s head of trading Jay Croucher.

That being said, the “free money” doesn’t seem to be enticing enough.

“If someone wanted to bet $1 million to win $10,000, we’d take it,” Croucher said.

BetMGM has taken significant action on Lawrence, but is now also at -10000. The biggest bet they took was a $50,000 wager when the quarterback was at -1250.

Only one book has basically said they aren’t interested in taking any money on Lawrence and that is FanDuel with -100000 odds.

We’re doubting anyone is willing to put down $1 million to win $10,000.
