The Ohio Bobcats and Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns play a standalone game Thursday night to kick off Week 3. The public is expecting the road team to put up some points.

Both the betting spread and total are on the move since the open. Louisiana’s down from -20 to -19.5 at DraftKings, after peaking at -21 throughout the week. Meanwhile, the total climbed from 54.5 to as high as 57.5 before settling down to 56.

Ohio’s received some sharp money, according to PRO projections. The Bobcats have also garnered 53% of bets and 55% of money from the public.

The MAC squad had a rough start to the 2021 campaign, and that may be putting it lightly.

After losing to Syracuse in Week 1 as two-point chalk, Ohio fell to Duquesne last Saturday as a 28.5-point favorite. The Bobcats have been outgained in both games.

The 2021 season marks the first in 16 seasons without head coach Frank Solich patrolling the sidelines. The Bobcats were scary-good as ‘dogs under the long-tenured coach, covering 13 of the last 18 when catching points. Ohio is also oddly riding a perfect 8-0 run against the spread when playing on Thursdays.

Louisiana, meanwhile, is 1-1 this season, but the win was ugly. The Ragin’ Cajuns opened the season with a 20-point loss to Texas, then turned around to barely beat Nicholls State, 27-24, last week.

Head coach Billy Napier’s put the program on the map, but he hasn’t fared well for bettors of late. Louisiana is just 5-11 against the number in the last 16, while covering just three of the last 12 as a favorite.
