Justin Thomas has reached a number in the market that bettors can’t resist this week at THE PLAYERS.

Listed at 18-1 at BetMGM, Thomas is receiving the third-most bets and second-most money wagered to win this week at TPC Sawgrass.

Generally in the +1000-+1600 range to win tournaments, bettors are taking advantage of the price in anticipation that Thomas’s iron and approach play will shine this week. He’s as high as 20-1 at DraftKings, tied with Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele.

Thomas has 13 career wins with his last coming in August of 2020 at the St. Jude Invitational. He missed the cut at The Genesis, then finished T-15 two weeks ago at the WGC Workday.

While JT isn’t in his best form, bettors are waiting for Jordan Spieth to complete his turnaround and cap it off with a win. Spieth is the most-bet golfer this week at BetMGM and third in total handle at 25-1.

Spieth has finished in the top four in three of his last four tournaments, the fourth being a T-15 finish at Genesis. He’s taken 7.1% of all outright bets this week.

A week after Sam Burns was the biggest liability for BetMGM, another relative longshot is getting a lot of attention at the book. Cameron Smith (60-1) has taken more money to win than any other golfer in the field, which has made him the sportsbook’s biggest liability.

Dustin Johnson is second in total bets, with Morikawa (fourth) and Bryson DeChambeau (fifth) rounding out the top five.
