There are a number of great fights on the undercard beneath the explosive main event, and one of the most interesting is the second fight between Tecia Torres and Angela Hill.
These two met for the first time in June 2015, and Torres won by unanimous decision. Keep in mind that method of victory, because it’s going to be a recurring theme here.
Let’s break down the lone women’s fight on the UFC 265 main card in Houston.

Since that bout in 2015, Torres’ record has been spotty: She was undefeated as a pro leading up to the first Hill fight, but is just 6-5 since then, with all of her losses coming by unanimous decision.
The past three years in particular have not been productive for the Tiny Tornado, as she lost four fights in a row from February 2018 to August 2019, before getting two back in 2020. She is coming off an eight-month layoff entering this bout.
Hill’s record hasn’t been too much better, but at the very least she’s been more active over the past year-and-a-half. Since the calendar turned to 2020, she’s gone 3-2, with both of her losses coming by split decision and two of the wins by unanimous decision.
As you may have gathered by now, the common thread between these two is that they very often go the distance. In her entire 17-fight career, Torres has ended a fight just once by TKO — ironically, her most recent fight — and just once by submission.
The rest of her 10 wins have come by decision and she has never lost by KO, TKO, or submission. She has also never had a split decision in her entire career.

Torres vs. Hill Pick
At this point in Hill’s career, her form has trended more towards decisions as well, as six of her last eight bouts — and the last four straight — have come down to the judges. “Overkill” Hill has stayed competitive in every fight she’s had lately, as evidenced by her two splits, and she hasn’t been finished since March of 2019.
As such, it seems almost inevitable that this one will come down to a decision as well. Given the relatively tight moneyline, these two are very evenly matched and likely won’t give each other an inch to finish the fight early.
So the simplest play would be to take it to go the distance, right? Well, unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot of value there, as you’ll have to lay -400 to get in on the action.
Instead, let’s assume that whoever wins this fight will do so decisively, as has been the case so often for these two in the past. As mentioned before, Torres has never gotten a split in either direction before, and it doesn’t seem likely she’s going to start now.
On the other side, Hill has had some recent splits, but she’s a very live underdog given her activeness and marked improvement over the last few years. She could just as easily take home the win.
But at the end of the night, the winner will have gotten unanimous approval from the judges, and this is still a perfectly fine price to wager on that.
