What Is a Prop Bet?
A prop bet is short for a proposition bet, and it covers anything not directly tied to the final score/outcome of the game.
Props can be anything from Tom Brady total passing yards to Brad Pinion’s longest punt to what color Gatorade gets dumped on the winning coach, plus everything else in between.
Where Are Prop Bets Legal?
Props are legal anywhere that sports betting is legal in the United States.
Regulated markets can’t offer some of the zany props that offshore sportsbooks can — like how many Super Bowl commercials will have a dog in it — but books like DraftKings and FanDuel have thousands of Super Bowl props available to bet.
