Sunday Night Football is shaping up to be a major decision for sportsbooks as bettors won’t stop hammering the Kansas City Chiefs against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Chiefs have been taking significant amounts of bets and money all week with the odds moving from Kansas City as a 3-point favorite to a 3.5-point favorite in the hours ahead of kick-off.

Kansas City opened the year with a comeback win over the Cleveland Browns, but the final score of 33-29 wasn’t good enough to cover the spread. Meanwhile, Baltimore lost in prime time on Monday Night Football to the Oakland Raiders in overtime, 33-27.

Westgate SuperBook’s Jeff Sherman told The Action Network’s Darren Rovell that the book took a $40,000 bet late on Kansas City at -4 as bets were increasing as afternoon games ended.

At PointsBet, 89% of all money bet on the game is on Kansas City. It’s nearly the same for bets with 88% of tickets on the road team.

DraftKings has taken 92% of dollars on the Chiefs with 86% of bets coming the same way. BetRivers is a little lower in handle but still getting 78% on KC.

Other implications could be in parlays with favorites winning early. Many times bettors like to try money-line parlays with big favorites. The Browns, Patriots, Rams, Bills, Broncos and Buccaneers might all be popular teams paired with Kansas City in parlays.
