The Texas Longhorns take on Rice at the DKR Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday, with the Longhorns hoping to look rejuvenated with a quarterback switch.

Against Rice, Texas will be making the switch to QB Casey Thompson, who has started nine games for the Longhorns over his career. Thompson has thrown for 407 yards, seven touchdowns and no interceptions during his time in Austin, so far.

Rice comes into Saturday evening 0-2, but the Owls have hit the over in both of their matchups. Clearly overmatched in both games, Rice did put up 17 points against No. 20 Arkansas and showed some life on offense.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian will be looking for his Texas squad to bounce back big time after they were blown out 40-21 by Arkansas.

So with a feisty Rice squad looking to show some fight but conversely, a Texas team trying to stomp out Rice to send a message, the over looks like a nice play this weekend. Let’s take a look at our latest NCAAF PRO Report.
