NBA Injury Report & Starting Lineups (Dec. 22): Draymond Green Out, James Wiseman’s Role Undecided

Injury News

There is key injury news for both matchups on opening night. Golden State Warriors big man Draymond Green was ruled out of Tuesday’s matchup with the Brooklyn Nets with a sore right foot.

Per our NBA Insiders tool:

“An MRI came back clean for Green and coach Kerr said it’s ‘not a long-term thing’, but added that he may miss the first couple games of the season.”

Rookie center James Wiseman is expected to play in this matchup after dealing with COVID-19 for the past month. Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris has also been ruled out of tonight’s matchup with the Lakers as he deals with a sore right knee. Either newly acquired forward Nicolas Batum or backup big man Patrick Patterson will fill in at the 4 spot.
