NBA Injury News

The Portland Trail Blazers will welcome CJ McCollum back into their lineup Tuesday when they face the New Orleans Pelicans. Per our NBA Insiders tool:

McCollum has been removed from the injury report in advance of Tuesday’s game, indicating that he will be available to return after being sidelined for the last two months due to a fractured foot … There is no word on if McCollum will have a minutes restriction in his first game back, but Gary Trent Jr. will likely return to a reserve role.

The Miami Heat expect to have Bam Adebayo return to their lineup for the first time since the All-Star break. Adebayo missed the past four games due to left knee tendinitis, but he has been upgraded to probable prior to the match on Tuesday. Avery Bradley, who has been out for 18 games, has been upgraded to questionable Tuesday.

The Houston Rockets have a number of injuries potentially impacting their rotation ahead of tonight’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. Christian Wood is listed as doubtful after missing the past 16 games with an ankle injury, but told the media he’s close to being cleared to play. There’s a small chance it could come as soon as Tuesday depending on how he feels after shootaround.

John Wall will miss his fourth straight game due to a left knee contusion, but Rockets head coach Stephen Silas is hopeful Wall can suit up for Wednesday’s game. David Nwaba and Rodions Kurucs have also been ruled out, while Danuel House and Ben McLemore are questionable. The Rockets currently have the longest losing streak in the NBA at 16 games.
