Game 1 of the NBA Finals was headlined by the surprising return of two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks would need some version of “The Greek Freak” to have a shot against an extremely intelligent Suns team.
Though Giannis’ return did provide a “Willis Reed-esque” boost for his team, it wasn’t enough for them to overcome yet another masterclass in point guard play from Chris Paul.
CP3 was just Hannibal Lector tonight.

Paul finished the night with 32 points and 9 assists while shooting 12-for-19 from the field. His incredible efficiency more than made up for a rough shooting night from Devin Booker.
Though the Suns were no doubt celebrating a hard-earned Game 1 victory, the torn ACL suffered by starting power forward Dario Saric surely put a damper on things. Saric is by no means a key player, but his loss means that Phoenix’s already-thin frontcourt depth will be tested. It’s something to keep an eye on.
The total for Thursday’s Game 2 opened up at 224.5 and sharp bettors have clearly been keeping an eye on that figure as it continues to move as we approach tip-off.
Our latest PRO Report shows that wiseguys are trusting Game 1’s total to be a slight anomaly, and are thus backing the under for Game 2. Let’s take a look below.
NBA Picks: Bucks vs. Suns
Sharp Action
The total for Game 2 in Phoenix opened up at 224.5, no doubt a response by sportsbooks to Game 1 going over by 3.5 points.
Since Wednesday morning, there have been two Action Labs Bet Signals triggered on the under. This is an indicator that sharp bettors are hitting the under.
Big Money
At the time of this writing, the 42% of bettors taking the under have generated 73% of the money wagered on Thursday’s game.
