For the first time since the season-opening Daytona 500, pack racing will return for Sunday’s Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Talladega is known for exciting racing, big wrecks, close finishes and, of course, Ricky Bobby.
And when it comes to Geico 500 odds, Denny Hamlin is the clear betting favorite at +650, and for good reason.
Hamlin has won three of the past five Daytona 500s, as well as the most recent NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega.
Joey Logano is next on the Talladega odds board at +900, followed by Ryan Blaney at +1000 with Brad Keselowski and Chase Elliott, both listed at +1100, rounding out the top five.
Michael McDowell, the popular upset winner of the 2021 Daytona 500, is once again listed as a longshot (+6600).
And in his Cup Series debut, Harrison Burton is +10000 in the Gaunt Brothers Racing No. 96 Toyota.
Odds as of Monday afternoon and via DraftKings.
