NASCAR at Las Vegas Odds & Predictions: 4 Betting Picks for Sunday’s Pennzoil 400

Y’all, I’m tired. Like, “don’t plan on changing out of my pajamas and maybe living on the couch for three days” kinda tired.

We had friends from Massachusetts come down for a visit with their three kids for a whole week. Do you know how many kids you get when you have two and then add in three more?

57 kids.

As I’m sure you can imagine, the week was filled with all sorts of drinking, gambling and old people “debauchery.” It was delightful, albeit exhausting, but it had me reminiscing of our Vegas trip two years ago with our friends … sans kids.

Ahh, the good old days when babysitting and traveling was simple, when I could button my pants, when I didn’t consider three Cadbury eggs, a bottle of wine, and a bag of popcorn dinner … you get my point.

We were lucky enough to get out to Vegas for a much-needed vacation and a trip to the NASCAR Cup Series race in March of 2019. And let me tell you, it was a blast made even better by the fact that I bet the eventual winner, Joey Logano, to win the race at 8-1.

And all this reminiscing, exhaustion and booze-induced nausea is giving me a hankering for more gambling. I mean, why wouldn’t I want to recover on Saturday only to turn around on Sunday and do it all over again.

Can someone say masochist?

But these four drivers for today’s NASCAR Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas might be just what I need to get out of this funk.

NASCAR at Las Vegas Picks

Joey Logano (+850) To Win

OK, so this might be more of a sentimental pick from days of yore when I had a life outside of my home. It also helps he’s won the last two Cup Series spring races in Vegas.

Alex Bowman (+2200) To Win

I bet him earlier in the week and PJ Walsh has a great article (I’m legally obligated to say that) on why you should go ahead and jump on the Bowman train.

He (Bowman, not PJ) also gets cool points for having my maiden name.

Chase Briscoe (+2000) for a Top-3 Finish

Briscoe dominated both 2020 XFINITY Series races at Las Vegas and that’s frankly enough to convince me to take him.

And at 20-1 odds, I love him (insert dumb heart eyes emoji).

Austin Dillon (+600) for a Top-5 Finish

Dillon has won at Vegas for the XFINITY and Truck series and also scored a top five in this race one year ago.

So there it is, the bets that I plan on taking for the Vegas race.

Next up: finding a cocktail to start prepping for this afternoon’s NASCAR betting sweat.
