The Marlins head into Great American Ball Park to take on the Reds on Friday night. Cincinnati enters the matchup in second place behind the Brewers in the National League Central, although its best path to the postseason is in the wild-card race.

The Reds have built a bit of momentum up already in this series, knocking off the Marlins 6-1 on Thursday night. This was a nice win for the Reds, who shockingly dropped two out of three to the woeful Cubs.

Miami is in the midst of a four-game losing streak. The Marlins’ offense has been rough over this stretch, producing two runs or fewer in three of those four defeats.

Miami did show some scoring ability in an 11-9 loss to the Braves on Aug. 18. In that loss, the Marlins showed some heart with six runs in the ninth inning, including a 390-foot Jesus Sanchez homer.

Our latest PRO Report shows signs that point to backing the Marlins to pull off the upset on Friday night.
