You can have Panthers vs. Texans on Thursday Night Football, but my TV will be showing Marshall vs. Appalachian State instead.

Sure, I’m an App State alum, and the smart money says I’ll be asleep by halftime, but the point stands!

Bettors have also shown interest in this game as well this week, evidenced by spread movement from Appalachian State -9 to -7 and the over/under from 56.5 to 59.5 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

However, according to our College Football PRO Projections, one of these adjustments was too drastic, making it ripe for buyback.

Here’s the line that has simply moved too far according to our betting model projections.

Marshall vs. Appalachian State Betting Model Prediction

The Marshall vs. Appalachian State total keeps rising, yet our College Football PRO Projections still show a significant (and growing) under edge for Thursday night.

Our college football betting model projects this total at 53.9, resulting in a massive 10.1%, A-plus graded edge when compared to the current market consensus line of 59.5.

This is not only a top betting edge for Thursday night, it’s also the third-biggest edge across the entire college football Week 4 slate of games.

At the time of writing 60% of bets on the Marshall vs. Appalachian State total have landed on the over, yet 74% of the money has come in on the under.

With this in mind, it’ll be interesting to see how this over/under moves and whether we see start to fall between now and Thursday night’s kickoff.

PRO Projections Pick: Under 59.5
