After their NFL Week 1 offensive performance, the Green Bay Packers may not be all that thrilled about Monday Night Football’s weather forecast.

Green Bay got trounced, 38-3, against New Orleans last weekend with Aaron Rodgers struggling to just 133 yards passing with two interceptions and zero touchdowns.

Rodgers and Company are no strangers to inclement Green Bay weather, but we typically think of snow and below-freezing temperatures when it comes to ugly conditions at Lambeau Field.

Snow is obviously not in the latest weather forecast for Lions vs. Packers on Monday Night Football, but the conditions may not be all that encouraging for optimal offensive performance.

Let me explain.

Lions vs. Packers NFL Weather Forecast

The latest Lions vs. Packers weather forecast is calling for a 80% chance of rain and steady double-digit winds in Green Bay on Monday night.

However, the timing of the rain will key.

At the time of writing, it appears that precipitation could hit before the game, then trail off as the game progresses. But as we know, projecting the exact time of rainfall can be difficult.

The strength of the wind is a lot less uncertain.

Strengthening 16-19 mph breezes are expected in Green Bay throughout the Lions vs. Packers Monday Night Football matchup, which could hinder both teams’ efficiency in the passing and kicking games.

According to our Bet Labs software, NFL games played in winds of at least 10 mph have gone under the closing total 54.8% of the time since 2005.
