Ja Morant and the Grizzlies head to The Bay to take on the Warriors and an absolutely red-hot Steph Curry.
We got a preview of this matchup in the NBA regular-season finale when Memphis lost 113-101 to Golden State. That game decided which team would go on to play LeBron James and the Lakers in the Western Conference 7-vs.-8 play-in game.
Curry went off — as he is accustomed to doing these days — for 37 points against the Lakers and had the reigning champs on the ropes for most of the night. It took a big-time 3-pointer from James to seal the Warriors’ fate.

If you thought Curry’s scoring against Los Angeles was prolific, then his numbers against the Grizzlies are downright silly.
Now, of course, we must say “small sample size” alert, because Curry literally only played one game against Memphis. But in that game, Curry dropped 46 points in 40 minutes in a double-digit Dubs win.
Curry has proven that he can dominate a great Memphis defense, but the Grizzlies have not shown the ability to score on the Warriors. Per NBA Stats, Memphis averages a paltry 105 points per game (PPG) on 42.8% shooting from the field against the Warriors this season.
So, although Curry has gone for at least 30 points in eight of his last 10 games, the fact that Golden State can guard Memphis makes the total intriguing for Friday night’s matchup.
