The San Francisco Giants are favored to win the National League West over the Los Angeles Dodgers for the first time all season at one sportsbook.
The Giants are now in poll position at FanDuel at -120 to win their first division crown since 2012 — which is also the last time the Dodgers have failed to win the NL West.
Los Angeles is now even money at the sportsbook after it fell to five games below San Francisco on Thursday night.

The Dodgers were as short as -210 to repeat as division champions as recently as MLB trade deadline day on July 31. The Giants were +270 entering play that day and were three games up on the Dodgers.
The Dodgers’ odds got even better after they acquired three-time Cy Young winner Max Scherzer and All-Star Trea Turner right before the deadline.
In mid-July, the Giants were third-best at +375 at DraftKings to win the division, longer than the Padres at +325 and Dodgers at -230. The Giants were two games up at the time.
The Giants were +3000 to win the division before the season, while the Dodgers were staggering -710 preseason favorites to win their 10th straight division crown.
FanGraphs has the Giants and Dodgers with the same 49.3% odds to win the division as of Friday morning. Baseball Prospectus still gives Los Angeles a significant edge at 69.8% compared to San Francisco’s 26.2%.
The Giants were given as low as a 5% chance entering July to win the division. On July 1, the Dodgers had a nearly 70% chance to win the NL West.
The two teams are 8-8 against each other so far this season. They play just three more head-to-head games this season during a weekend series over Labor Day weekend in San Francisco.
