For the first time, Major League Baseball has partnered with a sportsbook to air live games.
DraftKings and MLB have announced on Friday a deal that would allow the book to air one game per week on its app and website.
Viewers would be able to engage with betting-related in-game features, though specifics have yet to be finalized.
Anyone with an MLB.com account and DraftKings account will be able to stream games.
This is DraftKings’ first live streaming deal with a major American sports league.
“In 2012, MLB helped ignite the daily fantasy industry by becoming our first-ever league partner, and that same foresight has persisted over the years as our organizations look to disrupt and innovate further through this expansion,” DraftKings co-founder Matt Kalish said in a statement.

U.S. sports leagues have rapidly entered the sports gambling space since a 2018 Supreme Court decision allowed states to legalize sportsbooks.
FanDuel in 2020 made an exclusive deal to air live NHL games in a partnership similar to the one announced on Friday between MLB and DraftKings.
The NBA has partnered with BetMGM, The Action Network and Turner Sports to launch NBABet, a vertical that produces betting-oriented content across the league’s media platforms.
In April, the NFL announced its first-ever partnerships with U.S. sportsbooks in deals with Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings and FanDuel.
