On a Monday night amidst the NFL regular season, college basketball is probably going to take a bit of a back seat — save for a marquee-matchup. A William & Mary vs. George Washington meeting, though, doesn’t quite fit that description.

Per Sports Insights Bet Signals, there have been at least three instances of market-wide line movement on the total caused specifically by sharp action, and all three have been downward. In other words, they’ve all been a result of pro money on the under.

And speaking of “pro money,” this under serves as a perfect example of how a comparison between bet and money percentages can also help reveal a sharp side. Since sharps tend to bet higher amounts than your casual bettor, seeing a pick receive a much larger majority of money than bets points to a professional backing of that play.
In this case, the 45% of betting tickets on the under have generated an impressive 81% of money hitting the total.
