In what may be NFL Week 3’s most interesting game, we get two Super Bowl contenders coming off of losses as favorites in Week 2.

The Los Angeles Chargers, who closed as 3-point favorites over the Dallas Cowboys, fell 17-14, while the Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) lost to the Baltimore Ravens, 36-35, on Sunday Night Football.

With both teams now sitting at 1-1 on the young season, one will be leaving Arrowhead at 1-2, which is surprising considering preseason expectations for the Chargers and Chiefs.

According to live NFL odds, Kansas City is a 7-point favorite over Los Angeles, with an over/under of 54.5, and The Action Network’s PRO Projections are pinging Chargers vs. Chiefs as the game with the biggest betting edge of Sunday afternoon’s matchups.

Here’s the wager offering so much value on Sunday afternoon.

Chargers vs. Chiefs Betting Model Prediction

Sixty percent of spread tickets are laying the points with Kansas City, but our NFL betting model suggests that is the wrong side of this matchup.

As mentioned above, the Chargers are 7-point underdogs against the Chiefs, but our model projects this spread at Los Angeles +4.7.

The difference between +7 and +4.7 translates to a 5.5% betting edge, earning a B grade via our PRO Projections feature.

Please note that the market looks poised to move off +7 to +6.5, so be sure to visit our NFL Live Odds Page and find a sportsbook offering the Chargers at the best possible price, including the vig.
