With Monday’s 56-28 Appalachian State Myrtle Beach Bowl victory in the books, the 2020 college football postseason is officially underway. And Tuesday brings with it another southeastern-vacation-destination-themed bowl game with the expectation of plenty of offense.

Oddsmakers have set the over/under for the Boca Raton Bowl between Central Florida and BYU at 75, but have kept the spread within a single touchdown. According to our projections, however, that spread is still significantly too large.

Central Florida vs. BYU Pick

As you might’ve already noticed in the table atop this post, our PRO Projection for this game is BYU -1.8, which, compared to the listed spread of -6.5, provides plenty of value to the underdog.

In fact, it earns UCF an A+ grade and gives the Knights the largest spread edge on the entire bowl slate as of writing.

Of course, a nearly 5-point difference between a projection and listed spread is noteworthy in itself, but making this one even more valuable is that it passes through the key numbers +3, +4 and +6 — all relatively common final-score margins.
