Jake Paul will make his return to the boxing ring when he fights former UFC star Tyron Woodley on Sunday night.
It’s been quite the year between the ropes for the Paul brothers, who have risen to fame over the last decade on social media and taken the boxing world by storm.
Jake’s brother Logan fought Floyd Mayweather to a draw in an unsanctioned fight in June. Jake knocked out former MMA fighter Ben Askren in the first round of an April fight, his first against an opponent with real combat experience. Woodley is a longtime teammate and friend of Askren, which setup this fight.
Now, Jake Paul turns his attention to the 39-year-old Woodley, who was the UFC welterweight champion just over two years ago and was once considered the best ever in his weight class. He lost his belt to Kamaru Usman in March of 2019, and dropped his next three fights before his contract expired earlier this year.
