The PGA TOUR’s version of a postseason begins this week with Jon Rahm as the betting favorite at The Northern Trust, the first of three tournaments in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Rahm is +800 at DraftKings, as he returns from his second bout with COVID-19. He withdrew from the Olympics due to a positive test and hasn’t played since, but he’s back in his usual spot on top of the oddsboard.

Rahm is the only golfer in single-digits this week at Liberty National in New Jersey. Jordan Spieth is close behind at +1200 followed by defending FedEx Cup champion Dustin Johnson and current points leader Collin Morikawa at +1600 each. Xander Schauffele (+1800) concludes the players below +2000.

The 20’s has plenty of star power as well, led by Brooks Koepka and Rory McIlroy at +2200. Justin Thomas and Bryson DeChambeau come in at +2500 with four players rounding out at +2800: Paul Casey, Abraham Ancer, Daniel Berger and Scottie Scheffler.

Notables in the field include an active-but-struggling Patrick Reed at +4000, the same number as Adam Scott, who missed a 4-foot putt to win the Wyndham Championship. Tony Finau’s number of +5500 is below where he usually sits, but his form has been down as well. Wyndham Championship winner Kevin Kisner is +6500.

The top 125 players in the FedEx Cup standings qualified for this event. Only the top 70 will advance to the BMW Championship following this week’s results. Only 30 will qualify for the Tour Championship which will determine the winner of the playoff.
