Golf bettors took notice of Will Zalatoris and his debut performance at the Masters and are hoping he’ll get his first PGA Tour victory at this week’s RBC Heritage at Harbor Town.

Zalatoris is the most popular bet to win this week at both BetMGM and PointsBet as momentum around the 24-year-old builds.

Zalatoris is +2800 at BetMGM and +3300 at PointsBet a week after coming in around 100-1 to win the Masters. He fell just short, losing by a stroke to Hideki Matsuyama, but the second-place finish was already his sixth top-10 result of the year.

He comes in as the biggest liability at BetMGM, although Dustin Johnson is the golfer with the most money taken in bets to win, also known as ‘handle’. Zalatoris is third in total handle at PointsBet.

It’s Collin Morikawa who has the largest handle at PointsBet, and he’s popular at BetMGM as well. Only Zalatoris has been bet on more often than Morikawa, although he doesn’t rank in the top five for handle.

Johnson is the betting favorite at some books and tied or behind Webb Simpson at others. Thus, it’s no surprise to see action coming in on both. Simpson is third in bets taken at BetMGM and fourth at PointsBet. Johnson is BetMGM’s third-biggest liability.

Other names seeing notable action include Kevin Na (+4000), who is second in liability at BetMGM while getting 5.7% of total money wagered. Tyrrell Hatton is third in handle.

Corey Conners, fresh off a strong showing at the Masters, is popping up at PointsBet with the second-most handle at the book. However, longshots are the ones shaping up as liabilities at PointsBet. They’ll be rooting against J.T. Poston, Carlos Ortiz and Chris Kirk.
