2021 Olympic Men’s Basketball Knockout Round Schedule & Bracket: United States Will Face Spain in Quarterfinals

The knockout round for men’s basketball at the 2021 Olympics is set, and the United States drew about the toughest path possible.

The U.S. will face Spain in the quarterfinals at 12:40 a.m. ET on Tuesday and play the winner of Australia-Argentina. The U.S. and Spain played for the gold medal in 2008 and 2012 and in the 2016 semifinals.

Here’s everything you need to know about the knockout round in men’s basketball at the Tokyo Olympics.

2021 Olympic Men’s Basketball Knockout Bracket

A draw took place following the completion of the group-stage games to determine quarterfinal matchups. The winners of each group and the best second-place team were placed in one pot and while the two remaining second-place teams and two best third-placed teams were placed in another pot. Teams from the same group cannot play each other in the quarterfinal round.
