Major League Baseball teams will begin reporting to spring training next week, the first exhibition games are less than three weeks away and Opening Day is less than two months away.
All of this means it’s time for win totals.
Wynn Bet became the first book to release win totals for the 2021 season on Tuesday night, and it’s no surprise who has the highest numbers:

Win totals via Wynn Bet and as of Feb. 9.
As expected, the defending World Series-champion Dodgers top all projections at 100.5. During the pandemic-shortened 2020 season in which they ultimately won the World Series, the Dodgers won 43 games, which was a 116-win pace over the course of a full season. They won at least 100 games in two of the previous three seasons.
Behind the Dodgers in the National League are the Padres, who had a busy offseason in their attempt to dethrone LA in the West and check in at 94.5 wins.
The equally busy Mets are at 94, which is tops in the NL East, and the Braves are right behind them at 91.
In the American League, the reigning pennant winners in Tampa Bay check in at a total of just 85 after an offseason in which it traded ace Blake Snell. That’s actually only the third-highest total in their own division, as the Yankees (AL-leading 96) and ascending Blue Jays (86.5) are higher.
In the AL Central, the numbers on the White Sox (91.5) and Twins (90) portend a battle for supremacy in that division.
Out West, the Astros (90) and Angels (85) slot in ahead of the defending division-champion Athletics (84).
The smallest totals are in the NL, where the Nolan Arenado-less Rockies are at 63.5 and Pirates 62.5.
