The Champions League draw took place on Thursday and will likely alter the betting odds for teams such as Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain after they were placed in the same group along with RB Leipzig, which made the semifinals of the competition in 2020.
The members of Group B, too, will likely have their lines changed. It’s another incredibly competitive group with the likes of Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, FC Porto and AC Milan competing for two spots in the Round of 16.
City and PSG had been the two best favorites to lift the trophy in May heading into the draw on Thursday as a result of their substantial offseason additions.
City made one major splash with the $140 million acquisition of Jack Grealish, but it’s PSG that made the biggest improvements.
Paris added Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi this offseason alone and headed into the draw as +275 favorites at DraftKings to win the 2022 Champions League as a result.
Manchester City was second-best at +350 to win it all heading into the draw.

Third-best heading into the draw was Bayern Munich at +750, which drew a group with Barcelona and Benfica.
Tied for third-best before the draw was Chelsea (+750), which drew a group with Juventus and FC Zenit.
