Friday’s NBA Injury News

Kemba Walker has been ruled out for the Boston Celtics in their matchup with the Detroit Pistons on Friday. Walker will rest in the second leg of a back-to-back after he logged 30 minutes in Thursday’s win.

Anthony Davis Davis has been listed as questionable prior to Friday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Davis missed the past two Lakers games, but participated in some non-contact work at practice on Thursday. Head coach Frank Vogel indicated he will make a decision closer to game time.

Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Ryan Saunders confirmed that D’Angelo Russell will not travel with the team for its two-game road trip, ruling him out for Friday and Sunday. Russell missed Wednesday’s game due to a sore left leg that he injured in the prior contest.

The Wizards announced that Beal will rest for Friday’s game. He has missed just one previous game this season, and the team is not playing in a back-to-back Friday. However, the team has played six games in the last nine days, with Beal averaging 34.0 minutes per game in that stretch.
