Streaming quarterback, kicker and defense has been a strategy I’ve used successfully for years.
I’ve parlayed that success into a series of weekly recommendations of the top streaming options at those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don’t recommend streaming week-to-week, though still offer recommendations for fantasy players who may need a short-term rental.

Here are this season’s results through Week 14:
- Defense: DEF1
- Quarterback: QB13
- Kicker: K6
- Tight end: TE15
Now without further ado, let’s go streaming!

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts
- Rank: QB7 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 83% of leagues
- Matchup: at Cardinals
I’m happy with my decision to add Hurts as a potential Week 15/16 streamer last week but to use Philip Rivers in Week 14.
Hurts led the Eagles to a 24-21 victory over the Saints, which earned him enough job security to trust him this week against the Cardinals. He offers low-end QB1 value considering he rushed 18 times for 106 yards in his first start. I expect his rushing numbers to come down to Earth this week, but we should also see his passing stats increase.
He’s the type of dual-threat quarterback I love to take a flier on — he could even end up being a league winner with the Cardinals and Cowboys up next.
Patriots Defense
- Rank: DEF14 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 52% of leagues
- Matchup: at Dolphins
It’s a tricky week for defenses — there isn’t a play that sticks out as much as Dallas did in Week 15.
We can’t pick on the Bengals because they face the Steelers, who are 99% owned. And Washington could be a sneaky play against Seattle because the Football Team has serious potential for four or more sacks. However, we can’t expect much else against turnover-averse Russell Wilson.
The play here is to add New England as a placeholder and wait to see if another defense emerges in the updated version of my streamers come Saturday.
The Dolphins offense suffered a handful of injuries over the weekend: Mike Gesicki (doubtful), DeVante Parker (questionable), Jakeem Grant (questionable), and Myles Gaskin (reserve/COVID-19 list). And while the Pats defense is nowhere near the 2019 version, Bill Belichick is likely to scheme up a game plan that will target Tua Tagovailoa into making rookie mistakes, which would be an easier task if he ends up without several of his go-to weapons.
Buccaneers K Ryan Succop
- Rank: K3 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 75% of leagues
- Matchup: at Falcons
Tampa Bay has one of the higher team totals of Week 15 and should give Succop plenty of scoring chances. He plays in a dome, which is nice because we don’t have to worry about the weather, especially this time of year.

49ers TE Jordan Reed
- Rank: TE16 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 76% of leagues
- Matchup: at Cowboys
I’m going back to the Jordan Reed well this week.
Deebo Samuel suffered a potential season-ending injury in Week 14, so Reed could see an increase in usage going forward. My only concern with Reed is that we did see a dip in his routes run at 49%. There’s a chance a better option will pop up later in the week, so be sure to check out my updated streamers on Saturday to see if Reed makes the cut.
