Dec. 16 Update
With three weeks to play, nine teams have hit the over on their preseason win total, 10 have clinched the under, two are tied and 11 are up in the air.
The Bills, Packers, Chiefs, Rams, Titans and Football Team all hit the over with wins in Week 15. The Texans and Falcons both lost Sunday, meaning their unders are locked.
The Cardinals and Colts are a push right now, but both teams are favored by at least a touchdown in Week 15 sitting nicely to hit the over.
The Patriots and Vikings need to run the table just to get a push for over bettors.
Oct. 29 Update: Seven weeks into the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs still lead the way with a projected win total of 13. The Chiefs are currently 6-1, but there is -155 juice on the under.
The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers are right behind the Chiefs with 12.5 projected wins, followed the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers at 11.5.
After three straight losses, the New England Patriots’ win total has dropped to 7.5, with -121 juice on the under.
The winless New York Jets sit at the bottom of the board, with 1.5 projected wins and almost equal odds on the over and under.

Oct. 7 Update: Don’t look now, but the Browns might just be a 10-win team this year. At least according to the betting market, that’s now just as likely as nine wins for them this year, as their over/under of 9.5 has -110 juice on each side.
The Chiefs still lead the way, as their 4-0 record puts their projected win total at 13 with -134 juice on the over.
Next up, the Seahawks, Ravens and Packers all ticked up by a half-game with their respective Week 4 wins.
At the other end of the board, oddsmakers have projected a New York showdown for the first overall pick next spring. The Jets’ win total is down to just 3, with -150 juice on the under, while the Giants are just one game higher, but with similar -157 under juice.
Sept. 30 Update: The Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans were not listed because of the potential uncertainty surrounding their Week 4 games due to COVID-19.
The Green Bay Packers’ victory over the New Orleans Saints gave the Packers an extra win, moving them from 10 into a tie for second with the Baltimore Ravens and Seattle Seahawks at 11. At the other end of the spectrum, you’ll find the Jets and Giants, the latter of which fell a game from five to four after a home loss to San Francisco.
With a third straight winless game, the 0-2-1 Philadelphia Eagles dropped another game on their win total. After starting the season at 9.5, the Eagles are down to 6.5.
Sept. 23 Update: Following the release of the 2020 NFL schedule, the Philadelphia Eagles’ win total sat at 9.5.
But after two ugly losses, Philly has dropped two full wins to 7.5.
The Denver Broncos, who are riddled with injuries, have moved two wins as well, dropping from 7.5 to 5.5 heading into Week 3.
On the other hand, the surprising Arizona Cardinals are off to a 2-0 start, inspiring oddsmakers to increase their regular season win total from 7.5 to 9.

Sept. 9 Update: Unsurprisingly, bettors at PointsBet think the bottom of the NFL is going to be worse than expected, and the top will be better.
The Jets, Dolphins, Giants, Washington and Jaguars have all lost at least half a win of their win total since May.
The Cowboys and Colts meanwhile jumped up half a win, as bettors flock to the over and two teams that should contend for a Super Bowl.
Generally, overs are bad bets when it comes to win totals. PointsBet has 262.5 total NFL wins listed when you add up all 32 teams. But there are only 256 games.
Bettors favor overs, and the market has baked in that bias.
May 19 Update: It’s no surprise that the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs are tied for the highest win total (11.5) with the 2019 MVP-quarterbacked Baltimore Ravens. Kansas City will begin its title defense on Thursday Night Football against Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans, whose win total is 8, in the season opener on Sept. 10.
The Chiefs are an 11.5-point favorite in that game.
Behind the top AFC contenders are two out of the NFC: The New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers, both at 10.5.
As for Tom Brady’s Buccaneers, they’re right on their heels as the only team with a total of an even 10.
And on the other end of the spectrum, the battle for the basement consists of the Jaguars (5), Redskins, Bengals and Panthers (all at 5.5).
