Sean Koerner, our Director of Predictive Analytics, is highlighting his favorite NFL player prop every slate throughout the 2021 NFL season, including for when the Raiders host the Ravens to close out Week 1 on Monday Night Football.

He has a 376-278-4 (57%) all-time record on NFL bets he’s tracked in the Action app.

The Ravens’ backfield has been absolutely decimated over the past few weeks with J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Justice Hill all sustaining season-ending injuries.

Heading into this Monday Night Football matchup against the Raiders, Baltimore’s active running backs are Ty’Son Williams, Latavius Murray and Trenton Cannon. Cannon is a special teams player acting as more of an emergency backup. Murray may only see a handful of touches considering he wasn’t signed until last week. That means Williams should be Baltimore’s lead back tonight.

Given the Ravens’ zone-read running scheme, it’s key that RBs have chemistry with Lamar Jackson as he is the one deciding to pull it and run or hand the ball off. Williams has more reps with Jackson and I believe that means they’ll lean on him.

Baltimore’s front office also believes in Williams and I’d count on tonight being an audition for him — if he plays well it will allow them to cut Le’Veon Bell and/or Devonta Freeman. Murray may overtake Williams in the coming weeks, but the circumstances of the Ravens’ backfield set up a big game for Williams tonight. I would play this up to Over 63.5 rush yards.
