Passing touchdown totals for notable quarterbacks in the NFL have been set by oddsmakers at DraftKings. That includes Russell Wilson, who is fourth on the board at 33.5.
Wilson topped 550 pass attempts for just the second time in his career (2017) last season, 42 more than he had in 2019 and over 100 more than 2018. But he’s topped 33.5 touchdowns only four times in his nine-year career.
He’ll have an extra game in 2021 to reach that number, as each team is scheduled to play 17 games in the regular season.
Wilson trails Patrick Mahomes (39.5), Tom Brady (36.5) and Josh Allen (34.5) on the board.
Mahomes threw 38 touchdowns a season ago,but only started 15 games due to injury. Brady tallied 40 touchdowns in his first year in Tampa Bay and returns his entire offense from a Super Bowl-winning season. Allen’s breakout year resulted in 37 touchdowns through the air.
Coming in fifth on the board is Dak Prescott, who played in only five games after suffering a broken ankle. He’s expected to be fully healthy for the start of the season, however.
Offensive Rookie of the Year Justin Herbert threw for 31 touchdowns last year but comes in with a total slightly lower at 28.5.
No. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence opened at 25.5, ahead of No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson, whose total sits at 21.5.
