Alabama’s DeVonta Smith has been crowned the 2020 Heisman Trophy winner. Onto 2021.
Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler tops 2021’s newest Heisman board, sitting at +300.
Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei are his closest competitors at +400 and +650, respectively.
The only other player with shorter than 10-1 odds is North Carolina quarterback Sam Howell, who finds himself at +800.
Other familiar faces find themselves at the top of the board as well, including Miami’s D’Eriq King (+1200), Georgia’s JT Daniels (+1800), Arizona State’s Jayden Daniels (+2000), Texas A&M’s Kellen Mond (+2000), and USC’s Kedon Slovis (+2000).
The highest non-quarterback is Texas running back Bijan Robinson, who can be found at +2500. A whole crew of running backs can be found behind him, such as Iowa State’s Breece Hall (+3300) — who finished sixth in the 2020 Heisman voting — Alabama’s Jase McClellan (+3300), Texas A&M’s Isaiah Spiller (+3300), Auburn’s Tank Bigsby (+4000), Ohio State’s Master Teague (+4000), Washington State’s Max Borghi (+5000), and North Carolina’s British Brooks (+5000).
Despite a wide receiver winning college football’s most coveted individual award last season, there’s only one wideout who has 80-1 odds or shorter to begin 2021: Smith’s Alabama teammate John Metchie.
