Daytona 500 Odds Movement

Three-time Daytona 500 winner, including back-to-back victories in the Great American Race, Denny Hamlin is the race favorite at +750 odds.

Interestingly, Hamlin has actually leaked from +700 earlier this week despite having a very fast car in Thursday’s Duel.

Each of the next three drivers on the Daytona 500 odds board have moved in the same direction as Hamlin: Chase Elliott from +900 to +1000, Joey Logano from +1100 to +1200 and Ryan Blaney from +1100 to +1200.

So, if odds for all of the favorites are worsening, which drivers are improving?

Among the favorites, Kyle Busch his pushed from +1400 to +1300, while Bubba Wallace has been a big mover in the mid-tier after posting the fourth-best lap in qualifying and finishing in second place in his Duel.

There were questions regarding how fast Wallace’s car would be in 23XI Racing’s debut, and it appears to be very close to a fifth Joe Gibbs Racing car.

The betting market has taken note, pushing Bubba from +2500 on Monday to +1600 heading into today’s race.
