The Masters couldn’t avoid the rain on Saturday as an expected thunderstorm near Augusta National caused a delay. That won’t be the case Sunday, but adjusting winds will be worth watching in the final round.

Play was suspended during Saturday’s third round for roughly an hour and fifteen minutes. The players finished the round before darkness hit with Hideki Matsuyama atop the leaderboard at -11 — four shots clear of four players.

Wind picked up in the second half of the afternoon Saturday, and a similar change is expected on Sunday.

According to AccuWeather, Sunday morning will see 8-mph winds around 9 a.m. ET before players tee off. That number will rise to winds of 12 mph with gusts up to 14 mph in the afternoon.

It’s a noticeable difference, although it’s not drastic.

There’s a 20% chance of precipitation before noon, although should it rain it’s not expected to be a significant amount. After 12 p.m. local time, there’s virtually no prediction of rain.
