The New England Patriots brought in Nelson Agholor to boost the wide receiver room, but his status is questionable for Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins.

New England opens up the 2021 season in the favorite role. The club’s laying -3.5 points at DraftKings. The total, meanwhile, is 43.5.

Agholor was just one addition in a free agency spending spree for New England, which also landed tight ends Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith.

New England’s 2020 offense struggled, ranking No. 27 in pass DVOA and No. 23 in total DVOA.

Agholor, who spent the first five seasons of his career in Philadelphia, is coming off his best year. He went berserk in his lone season with the Raiders, recording 48 catches and personal bests in yards (896) and yards per catch (18.7).

The Patriots are 35-1 to win the Super Bowl at DraftKings – right on par with the Cowboys, Colts and Dolphins.

Although New England’s just 1-5 against the spread in its last six as a favorite, the club’s been solid in openers under head coach Bill Belichick, covering four of the last five.
