Following Sunday’s season-opening Daytona 500, the NASCAR Cup Series will run another race at Daytona International Speedway this weekend — this time the O’Reilly Auto Parts 253 (Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, FOX) on the track’s road course circuit.
Also referred to as the “Roval,” this is the same layout that hosted the 2021 Busch Clash one week ago, which was won by Kyle Busch after Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott wrecked coming to the checkered flag.
The Busch Clash is considered an exhibition race, so even though Chase Elliott didn’t win, he still has technically won the last four road course races on the Cup Series schedule, including at the Daytona Roval in August.
So, it’s not all that surprising to see Elliott as the +225 favorite. However, its another top Cup Series driver and road course racer that is attracting the lion’s share of early betting action.
Here’s the full list of O’Reilly Auto Parts 253 odds as of Feb. 16 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

NASCAR at Daytona Roval Odds Movement
Elliott dominated on the Daytona road course last season, winning the race, leading the most laps and running the most fast laps en route to the best driver rating.
However, Martin Truex Jr. was not that far off, running 16 fast laps (compared to Elliott’s 18) despite having to come through traffic following a pit road speeding penalty.
Truex was even better in the Busch Clash, blasting through the field twice following a bad qualifying draw and penalty for going off course while leading under caution.
Martin eventually finished dead last after spinning and hitting the wall while in the lead, but his speed cannot be ignored.
What does this all add up to? And undervalued No. 19 Toyota in the eyes of NASCAR bettors.
As shown in the table above, Truex opened at 6-1 at DraftKings, but has already been pushed down to 4-1.
In fact, the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas has him at +300, so don’t be surprised to see this number continues to move in that direction throughout the week.
